Complete the Orientation Process

All academic forms are typically submitted to the Academic Programs Office. Please allow sufficient processing time as there are several layers of approval; beginning with the student sign-off, then program approval, School approval, and lastly University Records.

Canvas

Canvas is an online course platform. All SPH courses, communities, such as field practicum, culminating experiences, and more are housed in Canvas.

LLU onTrack tracks your degree progress and includes your academic program plan.

Student Health

Students enrolled in on-campus programs will see immunization holds on their Registration Portal. Visit the Student Health Service website for instructions on how to clear these holds.

Chapel

On-campus students are required to attend chapel if enrolled in courses that begin before 3 p.m. on days when there is chapel. Chapel meets on Wednesdays. The second week of the quarter is “Week of Renewal” where chapel will meet Monday through Friday that week. Check email for altered morning schedule to accommodate chapel. ID badges are required to record chapel attendance​. If you have any further questions, contact Debbie Paley at dpaley@llu.edu.

Parking

  • Everyone must register their car in the parking system. Not registering your car will not get you out of parking tickets.
  • Access the online parking system to register your car.​
  • It will take up to 10 days to update your account with your approved parking areas.
  • ID badges are required to register.

Loma Linda University offers residential housing for students in Lindsay Hall and Daniells Residence Complex.

Registration Dates

  • Registration without a late fee is from August 7 to September 21, 2023. 
  • A late fee of $200 will be charged if you register between September 22 to October 2, 2023.

You can view Course Withdrawal Deadlines at either of the following: 

  1. Course Schedule
    • Visit the Course Schedule https://llu.edu/course-schedule 
    • Select the correct School and Term, and click Search. 
    • Locate the course you are searching for and click on the down arrow.  
    • Click on Important Dates 
      • Important Dates 
        • A new page will open and list Course Dates, Withdrawal Deadlines, and Refund Dates for the selected course.
  2. Registration Portal
    • Login to your Student Portal, my.llu.edu 
    • Click on Registration
    • Select the correct Term
    • Under Add/Drop Courses, click on a course’s Title
    • A new page will open and list Course Dates, Withdrawal Deadlines, and Refund Dates for the selected course.

FAFSA

* Academic years begin in the summer quarter. 

FAFSA applications are available on Sunday, October 1, 2023. Students are recommended to submit their FAFSA application four weeks before registration. If you have any questions, please contact the Financial Aid Advisor for the School of Public Health at (909) 558-4509.

AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS

Students are encouraged to submit the School Scholarship Application during the Fall term of each year in the program. The criteria for eligibility vary. For a comprehensive list of awards and scholarships in the School of Public Health, please visit pages 284-287 of the Student Handbook. NOTE: The determination of the amount of scholarship and award dollars at LLU is influenced by FAFSA data. Some students may be eligible to receive only a portion of their scholarship award. Please contact your financial aid advisor if you have any questions.
