DrPH - Doctor of Public Health

Our Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) programs train you for leadership positions in public health practice in health care systems, governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, and community settings. This competency-based curriculum provides advanced public health education and offers a specific focus within concentrations. Applied practice and integrated learning experiences address the foundational and concentration specific doctoral competencies. 

Enrollment is available on a full or part-time basis; however students must advance to candidacy within 3 years of entering the program and complete the program within 5 years. Majors are available in:

PhD - Doctor of Philosophy

Our Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programs train individuals for careers in scientific research and/or teaching at universities, in governmental agencies, industry and private organizations. The PhD curriculum provides advanced didactic training in a specific discipline, develops students' critical thinking and research skills to conduct independent research and enhances written and oral communication to the scientific community for the advancement of the field through dissertation and peer-reviewed publications.

We offer a number of opportunities at the Master’s level completely online. If you choose to study at Loma Linda, we have hybrid courses that allow you to learn online while taking advantage of all the extras our campus has to offer.
