The Center for Public Health Preparedness recently mobilized three members of the Center's core senior leadership to form a Public Health Disaster Assessment and Response Team (PHDART).

Their collective background includes over twenty years public health preparedness and international development experience in education, training, assessment and program development and management.  LLU CPHP along with support from various departments within the School of Public Health, plans to continue training and development of a core PHDART to enable rapid response activities to be initiated in response to both domestic and international disasters.

LLU CPHP's PHDART deployed to Haiti to assist in relief efforts for a two-week rapid public health assessment and response.  For more information on this recent deployment click here.
